NEW: The Tour Captain Journals Dateline Venice, Italy By Sandy Gregory, QueensLander Tour Captain, CITM My Favorite Things - Venice Venice oozes history.
The city has a unique mystique that one encounters nowhere else in the world. I’m not talking about the Venice filled with thousands of day-trippers, gondola traffic jams and hawking merchants selling carnival masks, but rather the city itself. Venice is a work of art, comprised of 117 tiny islands connected by 400 bridges over 150 canals. The buildings are an eclectic match of Renaissance arches, Gothic points and Byzantine filigree hanging on to each other for dear life, their skin peeling and foundations slowly collapsing. Venice makes you feel as though you have stepped onto a movie set, looking almost exactly as it has for a thousand years. So to me, tenacity is the art of Venice. More at http://qtitaly.blogspot.com/

I have been a world traveler all my life. This was my first organized tour and it was a great surprise! AMAZING! It was much more than I expected since I was traveling alone.

I have been with a large tour group in Ireland and that cannot measure up to a small tour group. Our travel companions on the Queenslander Tour were wonderful. They were friendly and kind, never rude and we were able to get to know each other quite well.

Traveling and exploring Italy in a small group can be a magical experience for all, as the beautiful sights and sounds of a famous city are all the more meaningful when shared in an intimate group. A large tour group can lack personal service while our smaller tour groups encourage everyone on the tour to become an Italy explorer. We offer a variety of tours to Italy so that travelers who use our services can see some of the world's most famous architecture and stunning Art of Italy with a tour group that is smaller than standard tour group sizes.
Enjoy an Authentic Experience of Italy on our Tours
We have put together a number of tours which provide travelers with an affordable way to see some of Italy’s best-kept secrets in a single trip. You can enjoy Italy as though seeing through the eyes of a local when you sign up for a tour which takes you to off-the-beaten-path cities and towns, where you can see how people live outside of the big cities and can experience regional cuisine and other delights which only Italy can boast. Our Italy tours are set up to include visits to legendary cities including Venice, Florence, Assisi, Cortona and Rome.
Our Italy Tours Exploration & Activities
In order to truly experience Italy, you may wish to take part in an activity such as cooking class during your trip – this will also give you a skill that you can keep with you as a memento of your travels. We structure our tours in such a way that various optional excursions and activities are included. As an example, on our 'Italy's Great Cities Tour,' you can elect to participate in Italian cooking classes, and we also make time in-between planned activities and excursions where travelers can explore the surrounding towns on their own, visiting art galleries, historic churches as well as taking part in cultural highlights.
The Diversity of Italy - Tour Package Variety
One of the wonderful things about traveling in Italy is that each region has a completely distinctive feel to it, from the charming waterways and gondoliers of Venice, to the rolling fields and sprawling villas of Tuscany. We offer extensions on our pre-planned tour packages, so that it is possible to take a tour that includes Tuscany and Florence on the itinerary and to add an extension such as a trip along the Amalfi Coast. With a degree of customization possible, you can see everything that you wish to experience most during your visit to Italy.
